The round table was attended by Gromov, O., Head of Rosselkhoznadzor for S.Petersburg, Andreev, Yu.A., Head of Veterinary Medicine of St. Petersburg, Ishevsky, professor at the University of Refrigeration and Food Technologies, Dmitriev department head nutrition surveillance of the population of the Office of Rospotrebnadzor St. Petersburg, Smerechuk, head of the North-West Interregional Territorial Administration Rosstandart Russia.
Debated on the issue - whether Russia would be able by 2020 to increase the share of domestic production of meat and 85%, as provided for the Doctrine of food security (signed by President Dmitry Medvedev 01.02.2010) and is it possible to achieve this target, if Russia joins in the WTO?
D. Pozdnyakov, made a presentation on "WTO and the Russian meat market. Current state and perspectives", which touched on issues such as analysis of the current situation of the domestic meat market, the tariff quota regime for meat in the World Trade Organization, Russia's obligations in for ensuring compliance of sanitary, veterinary and phytosanitary legislation World Trade Organization rules.
